KVIRKEL
Kvirkel is a kitchen scale that enhances cooking and baking experience from an integration of a smartphone.
Design
The rectilinear form of the scale harmonises with an environment and a smartphone. Kvirkel is made of aluminium, high-quality plastic and wood, these materials complement each other. Birch is used on the top surface to add an accent of a natural texture. Plastic surrounding is added to supplement wood, hiding side grains, making it more like scale than cutting board. Aluminum dock is added to assist the attachment of smartphone. The material choice emphasises preciseness of design.
